Back to the Future is a 1985 American
science fiction film directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis and
Bob Gale. It stars Michael J. Fox as teenager Marty McFly, who accidentally
travels back in time to 1955, where he meets his future parents and becomes his
mother's romantic interest. Christopher Lloyd portrays the eccentric scientist
Dr. Emmett 'Doc' Brown, inventor of the time-traveling DeLorean, who helps Marty

History of the film
Once Bob Gale came to his parents' house and found his father's school
album.Zemeckis and Gale wrote the script
after Gale wondered whether he would have befriended his father if they had
attended school together. The film became the most successful
film of the year, having collected more than 380 million US dollars worldwide,
and also received numerous positive reviews of critics. He won the Hugo Award
for Best Production and Saturn for Best Fantastic Film, as well as Oscar,
Golden Globe and BAFTA, the most prestigious film awards in the US and the UK.
US President Ronald Reagan even used quotes from the film. The film marked
the beginning of the trilogy 'Back to the Future', which also includes the
films 'Back to the Future 2' (1989) and 'Back to the Future 3' (1990), as well
as a series of cartoons and comic books.
Based on the film, two video games were
released. The first - 'Back To The Future' - was developed by 'Software Images'
and published by 'Electric Dreams Software' in 1985 in the UK. The game was
released on the platforms ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amstrad CPC. The player
controls the character Marty, who must avoid Lorraine and save George from the
bullies. The product received a low rating from critics and fans.
'LJN Toys' and 'Electric Dreams Software' were developing the game 'Back To The Future, Part I', released in 1989 by Software Images. The game was released on the 'Nintendo Entertainment System' and was also criticized in the gaming community. Even Bob Gale advised not to buy this game.
